Our love of food as well as wanting to supply local produce led to the creation of Marlborough Mushrooms. Our ambitions for our business are simple – we want to:

How we grow our Mushrooms

We grow our mushrooms using specialist techniques – this means we achieve consistency in volume, appearance and flavour.  Even the oak chips which we use to make the blocks for our Shiitakes come from the Savernake Forest.

Dewi Williams

A graduate in Agriculture from Aberystwyth University, I have worked in the food and farming sector throughout my career.  After thirty years working for others, the time seemed right to turn my ambition into reality and build my own business.  Having managed an agricultural diversification project which included exotic mushrooms, I was convinced that small scale, high quality production of Shiitake and Oyster Mushrooms was a commercially viable concept.
